چکیده
Purpose Pilot upgrade training is critical to aircraft and passenger safety. This study aims identify variances in the US Air Force C-130J pilot based on geographic location provide a model enhance policy that will impact future efforts lower cost increase operator quality proficiency. Design/methodology/approach research employed mixed-method approach. First, authors collected data analyzed 90 pilots' aviation records then contextualized this analysis with interviews of experts. Finally, present modified version Six Sigma's define–measure–analyze–improve–control (DMAIC) identifies reduces training, translating into higher outcomes. Findings The results indicate significant statistical across geographically separated organizations. leads some organizations have proficiency levels specific tasks others comparative deficiencies. Additionally, enabled recommended number flight hours several distinct categories should be obtained before upgrading commander standards. Research limitations/implications was limited upgrades, but these can implemented within any field utilizes as measure experience. Implications from scope influence requirements all airframes civilian military aviation. Originality/value proposes process improvement methodology could immediately community and, more importantly, where humans advance echelons profession.
